Marvelous Monday my magnificent souls. Grateful for life. First a very special thought for a former RRFC band mate Don Ballance who is being memorialized today … Don bless your soul! I don’t know how, but there is something so spiritual about music – it’s a universal language and connector. This rock ‘n’ roll fantasy camp is complete .. however it will stay in my heart (as the others have) as a brilliant shining light to my soul. This one has a little added dash of magic for some reason (though I say that about them all). My counselor was Ricky Byrd an amazing musician, producer, etc etc etc and R&R Hall of Famer .. pretty darn cool to sing “I Hate Myself For Loving You” with the soul who killed it many times on stage, on the recording and in the video – Fantastic guy .. the band and our extended family were awesome toooo – and our 9 year old guitar player is one to be watched .. go Luca!!! Anyhow, the people you connect with are magical – all of them campers, counselors, headliners .. everyone. You become an extended family for all time Unfortunately Joe Perry had a serious medical emergency which kept him from camp .. but we were with him in Spirit and thankfully he is with us and was able to send us a message of love through David. Life is short, live your passion .. make time for that which fills your soul and lights your internal flame. For me that’s music and each camp brings more and more fire to that flame. THANK YOU RRFC – you’re a lighthouse to me!!!
