Kindness is an action word – but it’s also something you hold within your thoughts as well as in words and movement. Today be mindful of what you think about yourself; limit the negative self bashing – think and speak words of love to your soul. Make time to hug your children, family and friends. Whisper kindness and uplifting words into their ears and souls. It may seem small – but it’s truly not; it’s a gift that will echo in souls for days to come. Be authentic in your words – but speak them clearly. I imagine the next few days will be filled with last-minute preparations for celebrating the holidays. But let’s take time to remember that the greatest gift is of the heart and time spent together. It’s not all bows and packages, yes Mr. Grinch, but it really is the spirit that fills us and surrounds us each and every day. So on this Friday kindness day I ask you to spread love and caring to all those in your midst, especially the ones who seem a little more stressed than normal.
